On October 23, 2020, the Portuguese ambassador to China, José Augusto Duarte, accompanied by the Portuguese Consul General in South China and Chief Representative of the Portuguese Foreign Investment and Trade Agency in South China, visited the headquartes of EnviroVest Industrial Group and was cordially received by Ms. Margot Song, Chairman, Chairman and CEO of EnviroVest Industrial Group. The two parties conducted an in-depth discussions on business cooperation opportunities in environmental services industry between China and Portugal.
The Portuguese delegation introduced the country’s primary enterprises, dominant technologies, and its domestic market demand in environmental services. Ms. Song shared her success stories in bilateral cooperation and experience in how to strengthen the commercial and technology collaboration between two countries. The two parties discussed feasible cooperation models and specific projects, and confrimed a stronger multual willingness to cooperate in the field of environmental services.
Back in November 2019 at the 2nd Shanghai Expo, Mr. Duarte and Ms. Song had exchanged favorable views on bilateral cooperation between Chinese and Portuguese companies in environmental services industry and reached an initial agreement on cooperation. The original plan was for the EnviroVest team to visit Portugal on business and technology exchanges and meet with Portugese companies and discuss environmental projects. However, the trip has not taken place due to Covid-19 pandemic. This meeting also reaffirms the travel plan. With further exchange of information, ideas and plans between the two parties, EnviroVest would be able to bring in more advanced technological, human resources and business opportunities to the country and bring China's environmental services industry to a new higher level.
